What is Alpha?

Information about the Alpha course

Is christianity boring, irrelevant and untrue? Is there more to life than we see?

Alpha is an introductory course about Christian faith, spanning 10 evenings and a weekend away. It is meant for both believers and others, curious or convinced. The course was started in Holy Trinity Brompton Church in London, but exists in 163 countries all over the world as of today. An important aspect of the course, is the fellowship and the ability to ask questions to others and discuss.

During the spring of 2012, TKS will arrange an Alpha course together with Trondheim Free-Church in Brøsetveien 145 A. The course will be held on Tuesdays from the 24th of January, and the weekend will be the 9th to 11th of March in Åre in Sweden.

An Alpha-night

An Alpha-night starts at 19:00 and consists of a dinner together, a lecture, a coffee break and group discussions. The groups are the same througout the course, so that one get to know each other properly.

Payment and signing up

The Alpha course costs 400 NOK, but there is a discount for students. This will cover dinner and coffee each Tuesday as well as the course material. The weekend is another 650 NOK.
